Mason Partners with Merrifield Garden Center

Merrifield Garden Center has graciously invited us to house hives at their Fair Oaks location. We now have 4 active colonies installed there in hives provided by the Sweet Virginia Foundation. Students are using these hives for observation and research.

Bees 1, Bears 0

Recently some local bears came snooping around one of the offsite hives in search of honey.  The bears left empty handed and all the bees were just fine!
