The School of Integrative Studies degrees allow students to transcend disciplinary boundaries and combine their interests to create a single degree characterized by:
SIS areas of focus include pre-professional studies (education, law, and life sciences), social justice, conservation studies, organizational administration, international studies, and child and family studies. Students may also work with an academic advisor to design an individualized concentration customized to their unique academic and career goals. SIS welcomes transfer students from other four-year institutions or community colleges, as well as students from other academic units within Mason. SIS' academic advisors work with each student to plan for timely completion of a BS or BA degree in integrative studies, customizing his or her course selection to fit individual career goals.
