BA in Integrative Studies

Taicia Justine Taylor, 2026

Taicia Justine Taylor

Degree: BA in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Development, minor in Industrial and Organizational Psychology

Hometown: Reston, Virginia

Future plans: Upon graduating, Taicia will begin working as a staffing coordinator at Reston Association for the summer before pursuing a strategic HR role in the fall.

Taicia's goal was to begin a career in strategic human resources, which led Taicia to choose George Mason’s LODV program for its strong alignment with her career aspirations.

Most impactful course: Taicia’s leadership courses with Professor Graziella McCarron were especially meaningful, with Leadership and Organizational Problem-Solving (INTS 451) standing out as the most impactful. The interactive nature of the course provided Taicia with valuable hands-on leadership experience. Through discussions and teamwork, Taicia and classmates built strong connections and lasting friendships.

“Professor McCarron is a phenomenal professor who deeply cares about the well-being and growth of each of her students. I'm so thankful for all her guidance and mentorship over the years!”

Favorite George Mason memory: Taicia fondly recalls sharing her George Mason experience with her younger sister—getting açaí bowls at Shake Smart, visiting the Seed Library in Fenwick, and exploring the rocks and minerals in Planetary Hall.

Advice for future Patriots: Taicia recommends communicating with your professors. Meet with them early during office hours or connect via email to introduce yourself, and stay in touch throughout the semester—especially if you need additional support or accommodations on assignments.
