Mariah Wakefield

Mariah Wakefield is a PhD candidate in Cultural Studies at George Mason University. She received her BA from New York University and her MA from the University of London. Before pursuing her PhD at George Mason, Mariah worked primarily in arts administration and outreach, holding positions at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and The Metropolitan Opera Guild. 
  
Her current research focuses on neoliberalism and the subject, with a particular interest in emerging psychiatric discourses and digital cultural forms.
