Academic Advisor

Career counseling, academic advising, teaching, social justice initiatives and preparing college students for their education and beyond.

Served as the Career Counseling Intern for University Career Services (UCS). While at UCS I assisted students with deciding their major, career and internship searches, resume writing and practice interviews. I graduated with a Master’s in Education from George Mason’s Counseling and Development Program on the Community Agency tract.

I joined the School of Integrative Studies in August of 2018 as a Student Services Coordinator. My graduate internship at George Mason University Career Services compelled me to keep working with the amazing students here and to continue to have an impact as they work to shape their lives and careers. My areas of interest are Career Counseling, Academic Advising, and working with students in higher education. Teaching, social justice initiatives, and preparing college students for their careers are of the utmost importance in my professional journey.  I was a non-traditional adult student who took time to figure out what to do with my life and education and being here at Mason has shown me it was worth the wait.

I enjoy spending time with my two sons Jack and Daniel, and our amazing dog Winnie! I also enjoy the outdoors and exploring new places.. I enjoy nature and reflecting on all of the amazing experiences life brings us. Pain leads to triumph!
