Troy Lowery, BA Environmental and Sustainability Studies ’15, MA Interdisciplinary Studies ’18 joined George Mason University as a staff member in 2015 with the School of Integrative Studies, just a few months after he graduated with his first Mason degree. However, his path to Mason was anything but traditional. Lowery has an array of lived experiences from working on a sod farm in Georgia to serving in the United States Marine Corps before pursuing his college education. He never shies away from new and exciting opportunities, which is present in his current service to the college. He shares his zest for life, learning, and collaboration with every student he meets in his role as the director of student services in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
