Describe your dissertation, thesis, or capstone.
My thesis critically examines how the church contributes to toxic polarization within congregations on issues of health, race, and politics, offering practical applications for church leaders to guide Christians in engaging more constructively in the political sphere.

How did you choose your specific area of study?
I chose this area of study because of my deep interest in world religions and a desire to explore how Christianity can contribute to peacebuilding and make the world a better place.

How did your academic experiences in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences impact you?
My academic experience challenged me to stretch my thinking like never before, while also introducing me to exceptional faculty who offered unwavering support and encouragement in my specialized field of study.

Which accomplishments during your time at Mason are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my thesis.

Are there faculty or staff members who made a difference during your Mason career?
Professor Turner, Professor Dakake, and Professor Irvin-Erikson all deeply contributed to my success and enjoyment of my academic career and I am deeply grateful to all of them.

What advice would you give to an incoming cohort of graduate students?
