 IT'S SCIENCE CAREERS WEEK! 

Science Careers Week is your chance to learn about a variety of jobs and experiences in a dynamic career field. During the week of Mar 23-27, students are invited to participate in panel discussions investigating multiple disciplines, including forensics, sustainability, research, and more. International Student Workshop: Sharing Our Journeys

International students at George Mason University are invited to participate in a student-led virtual workshop exploring transition, belonging, and well-being. The workshop is part of a project, Fragmented Selves: Sharing Our Journeys, which examines the socio-psychological and physical effects of adjusting to life at Mason. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, connect with other students, and contribute to research highlighting how international students build community and resilience. The workshop will be held on March 31 from 5–7 PM on Zoom. Interested students can sign up before March 30 using the link here or by contacting Ramya Karthik (rkarthik@gmu.edu) or Dr. Al Fuertes (afuertes@gmu.edu).

Human Rights Virtual Global Youth Summit -- 03/25-27

This summit brings together passionate young leaders, activists, and students from around the world to explore key issues in human rights, social justice, and youth empowerment. Our Summit is designed to forefront conversations among youth on issues that closely affect them. Youth will share the situations in their communities, best practices for addressing key issues as well as strategize about how to overcome obstacles.

  • Commencement is on Thursday, May 14th @9:30AM at the Eagle Bank Arena
  • CHSS Degree Celebration is on Saturday, May 16th @2:00PM at the Eagle Bank Arena
    • FYI, all our undergrad majors (INTS, EVSS, BIS and HDFS) are a part of the School of Integrative Studies - which is housed within the College of Humanities & Social Sciences (CHSS) 

SUMMER GRADUATES: Graduation applications are due by June 29th! (Summer Grads walk at the Spring Degree Celebration!)

The Lavender and Women and Gender Studies Cording Ceremony is a space to celebrate LGBTQ+ students and their allies as well as the graduates of the Women and Gender Studies program (WGST minor, LGBTQ Studies minor, majors, MAIS, and Certificate graduate students). All graduating students will receive honor cords to wear as part of their graduation regalia during University Commencement and Degree Celebrations.
