INTS 375-DL1: Global Well-Being & Happiness
(Fall 2025)
Online
Section Information for Fall 2025
Much of the attention about well-being has focused on the needs of individuals to cultivate greater capacity for resilience and meaning in a stress-filled world. But alongside this important work of enhanced personal well-being and personal happiness is the vital issue of building collective well-being. Ultimately, there is no sustainable personal well-being unless local societies, nations, and the world community as a whole can find ways to promote social cohesion and prosperity by improving quality of life for all.
This course is an exploration of the various scales in which we can be both informed and involved to promote for others certain aspects of happiness, health, and purposeful living. We’ll explore questions such as these: What does well-being look like within our families and our circle of friends? What is well-being at the level of one’s community … or our nation? What is happening across the globe to demonstrate our abilities to work together for a greater good?
This fully online asynchronous course spans the semester with a new module each week. All study materials will be available online, and there is no need for any book purchases.
This is an online asynchronous section.
