SIS Updates

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Unrestricted Withdrawal Period (100% Tuition Liability): Wed. September 17th - Tues. September 30th
  • Selective Withdrawal Period (100% Tuition Liability): Wed. October 1st - Mon. October 27th
  • Last Day of Class: Mon. December 8th (for full semester courses, dates may differ for 7.5 week sessions)
  • Exam Period: December 10 - 17th
  • Winter Commencement: December 18th

Planning on completing your degree in December? APPLICATIONS for GRADUATION are due via Patriot Web by September 30th, 2025.

Childhood Studies Professor Pamela Garner and Associate Professor Hideko Hamada Bassett are recruiting participants for a research study examining the developmental pathways linking parental emotion socialization constructs to college students’ academic outcomes, with a particular focus on the mediating roles of emotion regulation and social competence.

Have you heard about the INTS 490: Internship course? 

If you are planning to start an internship or take on new job duties at your current job in the Spring 2026 semester, you can apply to earn INTS 490 credit toward your degree requirements. There is more information on the Internship page on our website. If you have any questions about the application process, please email Barbara O'Connell (boconne@gmu.edu). 

The application submission period for Spring 2026 is from October 12, 2025 - January 20, 2026.
