Tasha Bayard, a BIS Senior, presented on The Lived Experiences of African American and Black Physicians, Fellows, Residents and Medical Students in the Workplace. She said the support of her department has been very encouraging, especially as she juggles class, work, and raising a young child as a non-traditional student.

HEP Assistant Professor Dr. Jeff Grim, just published a study titled “Critical Leadership for Civil Rights in Higher Education: The Experiences of Chief Diversity Officers Navigating Anti-DEI Action” with the National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Levi Van Sant's latest publications, "Reservations? US Land Trusts and Neoliberalism as Bricolage," and "The effects of conservation easements on bird biodiversity in the Shenandoah and Piedmont regions of Virginia," were published in the Annals of the American Association of Geographers Journal and Conservation Science & Practice Journal respectively.
