Nonprofit Fellows Info Session

Tuesday, October 1, 2019 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Enterprise Hall, 400

The Nonprofit Fellows are a select group of students who earn a minor in Nonprofit Studies through a semester-long immersion experience.  The 20 - 25 Nonprofit Fellows are enrolled in the three courses and complete a 6-credit internship with a local nonprofit organization.  The program is offered by the School of Integrative Studies in partnership with the Schar School of Policy and Government.

The program emphasizes:

  • Personal attention from faculty.  Enjoy small sized classes taught by leaders in the academic and local nonprofit community.
  • Experiential learning. Students have a significant internship experience with a local nonprofit organization. Full-day field trips will take students to nonprofit organizations in Northern Virginia and Washington DC.
  • Integrated learning.  The faculty integrate learning across all three courses.  The experiential learning from the internship is also linked to course assignments and class discussions.
  • A community of highly motivated learners.

Courses are held two days a week on George Mason's Fairfax campus.
