The Center for Mason Legacies and African & African American Studies programs present this upcoming event: Black Lives Next Door on Friday, February 28th from 10:30am - 12:00pm at Fenwick Library. Presentations on student research sponsored by the Center for Mason Legacies and the Department of African & African American Studies will be given. INTS Major, Shemika Curvey, will be presenting her research at this event: "WHAT'S IN A NAME? BETHIA FAIRFAX AND SARAH AMBROSE: FREE WOMEN OF COLOR IN 19th CENTURY FAIRFAX COUNTY, VIRGINIA."
