The College of Humanities and Social Sciences, which houses NCC, recognizes academically-talented freshmen each spring with the Freshman Academic Achievement Award. This award is based on first-semester performance. The recipients of the Freshman Academic Achievement Award are invited to apply for a Freshman Academic Achievement Scholarship. The most outstanding recipient is awarded a renewable First-Sweitzer Academic Achievement Scholarship.
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences will host a reception on April 2, 2013 to recognize the award recipients and showcase the many opportunities for motivated students to challenge themselves during their time at Mason.
