Course Descriptions:

NCLC 375-002: Introduction to International Studies - This learning community will combine lectures/guest lectures, field trips, discussion of readings, films, case studies, projects, and active inquiry-based learning to examine topics including international organizations, human rights, the natural environment, infectious disease and globalization, media and technologies, and war and violent conflict.

NCLC 375-004: International Human Rights - This learning community will combine lectures, field trips, discussion of readings, cases, films, projects, and active inquiry-based learning to examine historical and contemporary human rights issues.  It will cover topics such as genocide, minority rights, wormen's rights, the rights of persons with disabilities, environmental humnan rights, and labor rights.
