NCC Professor Mike Gilmore's NPR Interview

New Century College Assistant Professor, Mike Gilmore has spent 13 years studying the Maijuna people of the Peruvian Amazon.  The Maijuna are an indigenous group of 400 people living between the Napo and Putumayo Rivers in northeastern Peru. Professor Gilmore, an ethnobiologist, has helped the Maijuna chart and protect their ancestral lands, essential to preserving their way of life and cultural survival.
