NCC Environmental Justice Class Visits Animal Sanctuary

After studying factory farming in Professor Paul Gorski's Spring Semester, 2012 Environmental Justice (NCLC 334) class, his students visited the Poplar Spring Farm Animal Sanctuary in Poolesville, Maryland. The farm shelters abused, neglected, and abandoned farm animals and other wildlife. Observing and working with the animals helped the class further understand how the ethical treatment of farm animals impacts individuals and society as a whole.
