Dr. David Powers Corwin has been appointed as Professional Development Coordinator and Area Chair for the Pedagogy and Popular Culture Area for the Southwest Popular Culture and American Culture Association. This organization is near and dear to their heart, because they've presented and worked with them since they were an MA student, and ended up being the first conference they presented at.
The SWPACA also puts a lot of emphasis on grad student professional development, so they are happy to help grad students apply and get involved.
