Women and Gender Studies faculty, Dr. David Powers Corwin, was a featured speaker at Winchester Pride 2022. Timely within a current climate of erasure, their speech was on the importance of LGBTQ+ identities and histories in education.
Winchester is a NOVA suburb and home to Shenandoah University. Partnering with local non-profits, Winchester Pride is an annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ community with smaller events throughout the year in Winchester, VA.
