Tarun Reddy Pottigari is a committed professional who is passionate about information systems and deeply committed to establishing a welcoming academic community. Tarun, who is from India, finished his undergraduate degree in information technology before flying to Virginia to pursue his master's in information systems.
During his time at George Mason University, Tarun served as the President of the Indian Graduate Student Association (IGSA - GMU) from June 2022 to June 2023. In this role, he successfully acted as a link between the university administration and Indian students, advocating for their needs and issues.
Tarun is a devoted sports fanatic who enjoys cricket over all other sports, outside of the academic sphere. His impressive athletic career has included playing for Hyderabad in the U-17 age division and, most notably, leading the squad to a championship win.
As a front desk and marketing assistant for the SIS department, Tarun continued his active involvement in the academic community and showed his commitment and organizational skills. Tarun is currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Professor Kelly Dunne.
