Matteo is a doctoral student in Cultural Studies. After his career as an engineer and as a radio DJ in Italy, he graduated in human Geography with a thesis on underground music and squatting in Berlin, where he lived for two years before moving to George Mason. His focus is on Midwest America deindustrialization as recounted by post hardcore and industrial musicians and their socio-technical network.
