Social Justice and Human Rights
Kalia graduated from Mason in Spring 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science in Community Health. A lover of loose teas, adventures, and good naps, Kalia currently serve as the Alternative Break Coordinator, with her primary responsibilities as the Coordinator for the Alternative Break Program. Throughout her undergraduate career, she worked within the SAIL office holding a number of positions ranging from Peer Mentor of the Leadership and Community Engagement LLC to the Undergraduate Alternative Breaks Assistant. Upon graduating, she has been an intern with Break Away, the national alternative breaks organization, and is returning to Mason as a graduate student to earn her Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Social Justice and Human Rights. When she is not studying or facilitating, you can find Kalia curled up with a book, or crocheting scarves.
