Danielle Aldawood joined George Mason University in Spring 2018. A recent graduate of the Justice Studies program at Arizona State University, her research centers on the pedagogical underpinnings of human rights education. She specializes in creating human rights and social justice based curriculum, particularly for the Academic ESOL population. Her teaching and research interests include human rights law, human rights education, critiques of the human rights framework, social justice curriculum, decolonization, and decolonial pedagogy. Her dissertation research pertained to decolonizing human rights education through a decolonial pedagogical approach.
