Nonprofit Fellows enroll in three academic courses and experiential learning (internship).  The program is 15-credits and meets the requirements for a minor in nonprofit studies.

  • INTS 331: The Nonprofit Sector
  • GOVT 358: Nonprofit Financial Planning or INTS 431: Principles of Fundraising
  • INTS 375: Special Topics (Course designed to support students in their internship)
  • INTS 490 or GOVT 480: Internship Credits

All courses for the Spring 2021 program offering will be held online.

The faculty integrate topics across the courses.  Experiential learning from the internship is woven into class discussions and into course assignments in all three courses.

All courses are scheduled on George Mason's Fairfax campus.

If you have already completed one of these courses but would like to be considered for the Nonprofit Fellows program, please contact Dr. Samuel Frye at sfrye4@gmu.edu for more information.
