Examples of projects

  • Helped an organization pass (with a perfect score) a Department of Corrections audit so they can continue to provide prisoner re-entry support for formerly incarcerated women
  • Connected Ethiopian and Afghan refugees with community resources
  • Advocated for Asian Americans' rights at the Virginia State Capitol
  • Raised funds for low-income seniors
  • Provided crisis support for women experiencing domestic abuse
  • Canvassed for support for laws banning the use of plastic bags
  • Helped military families with airfare costs so they can visit loved ones hospitalized overseas.
