Below is information about the December 2017 graduation process. If you intend to complete ALL of your remaining Integrative Studies degree requirements during the Fall 2017 semester, you are eligible to graduate in December 2017.
It is your responsibility to make sure that each of the graduation steps is completed. Failure to complete any of the steps will delay your graduation.
December 2017 Graduation - Important Dates at a Glance

File your Graduation Application via PatriotWeb. Click here for instructions. You must apply to graduate by September 29th in order to have your name printed in the ceremony program. Even if you don't intend on walking in the ceremony you must still submit a graduation application.

10:00 a.m. Winter Graduation Ceremony in the EagleBank Arena.
December 23, 2017
Degree Conferral. The Registrar's Office will begin to review and award degrees. You can check your unofficial transcript on PatriotWeb anytime after this date to see if your degree has officially been awarded.
February 2, 2018
All incomplete coursework, even if not being applied to the degree, must be resolved and grades posted. Any incompletes after this date make you ineligible for December 2017 graduation. Any other issue preventing degree conferral must be resolved by this date in order to be eligible for December conferral.

Submitting your Graduation Application on-line notifies the Mason Graduation Office that you expect to graduate in December 2017. The Graduation Application must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar by September 29, 2017.
Winter Graduation Ceremony Information
December 2017 graduates are eligible to participate and walk in the Thursday December 21, 2017 Mason Commencement. The Office of Events Management will mail ceremony information to graduates. Questions about December 2017 commencement (tickets, cap and gown, ceremony dates, etc.) can be answered by visiting their website (events.gmu.edu/).
Your diploma will be mailed to your diploma address (given on the on-line Graduation Application) in late February 2017. You will receive your diploma only after all of your final grades are submitted and you are cleared for graduation. The diploma will list your degree (Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science), program (Integrative Studies), and the title of your Concentration. *minors are not listed on the diploma. However, they are listed on your official transcript.
All in-progress grades (IN, IP, NR), even if they are not applicable to the degree, must be resolved within six weeks after the date of degree conferral. The absolute deadline for grades to be posted with the Registrar for December 2017 graduates is February 2, 2018. If you are unable to finish the course work during this six-week period, you must withdraw your current Graduation Application and reapply for the next scheduled graduation.
