New Student Convocation followed by the Campus BBQ

Please join Interim President, Ann Holton, Undergraduate Education, and University Life at New Student Convocation from 10:30am – 11:45am on Friday, August 23 at the Eagle Bank Arena. Kick off the academic year by welcoming our new students to the Mason Nation; See Mason’s talent on display with student performances and our very own Green Machine with Doc Nix – the #1 Pep Band in the country!
This year, a new feature of the event is a free lunch for all attendees (students, faculty, and staff) immediately following convocation! As always, we will offer Mason shirts to wear for all faculty and staff who register by noon on August 21. Shirts will be available for pick up in two locations until Thursday, August 22, 5pm at both Student Involvement – Hub 2300 and at the Office of the Provost 3100 with Dolores Peck. Please note, an RSVP is needed to ensure that we have accurate counts for both shirts and catering purposes. If your RSVP is for a group, please include all needed shirt sizes.
Doors will open at 9:45am for faculty and staff at the East entrance of Eagle Bank Arena (main office lobby on the lower level). Please arrive wearing your new Mason shirt, Mason gear and/or Mason colors. To keep things moving properly, you will be ushered into the seating area while the students are arriving. If you arrive after 10:25am please enter via the north entrance and take a seat with the new students.
