Ecofest and Sustainability Showcase

We cordially invite you to the Environment and Sustainability Living Learning Community’s Block Party and Showcase! This event is in partnership with the School of Arts and will take place on Thursday, April 19 from 11 AM to 2 PM in front of Piedmont/Tidewater and Blue Ridge/Sandbridge Halls on the Fairfax Campus.

 

This event will have free food from our sponsors, a smoothie station, opportunities to win prizes, and vendors. Additionally, we will have smaller chalkboard canvas that attendees will be able to use.

 

We would love help to put on a flawless event! We are looking for people who would like to volunteer for 30 minutes shifts throughout the event to assist in the management of several facets of the event. Here is a link to the sign-up page should anyone wish to assist. If people are not able to volunteer, we would still love to see people attend to get to know how people and groups on campus are working to make Mason a more sustainable place! Thanks in advance!

 

Note: If you would like, you may offer this as an opportunity for extra credit or service learning. If there are people interested in this, I ask that you submit to me a note saying that you have authorized these opportunities. From there, we will attempt have sheets for your students to sign in on that are specific to your classes. If people are there for service learning, we can sign off on people who come for the shifts they signed up for after their shift has been completed and work has been accomplished.
