Section Information for Spring 2023

This course will focus on the many unsustainable aspects of the current fashion industry including overconsumption, waste, environmental pollution, child labor, forced and slave labor, unfair pay and hazardous working conditions. Students will also analyze their own wardrobes and evaluate the economic, social, and environmental impacts of their actions. By the completion of the course, the successful student will be able to:
  • Describe major issues of the fashion industry, the causes of these problems, and potential solutions.
  • Analyze the economic, social, and environmental implications of this industry.
  • Comprehend real-world impacts of individual fashion choices
