This learning community engages Mason University President Dr. Ángel Cabrera in the question of leadership at the individual, organizational and societal levels. The course is co-taught by the Arison Endowed Professor Dr. Gregory Unruh and will include participation in the Freedom and Learning Presidential Forum Series organized be the Office of the President to bring guest leaders to campus. The learning community will participate in discussions seeded by a selection of readings that survey the great ideas and great thinkers on leadership, values, global citizenship and personal fulfillment. Students will have an opportunity to discover something new about their leadership potential through critical thinking that challenges implicit beliefs and biases. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of their own leadership purpose and motivations, equipping them to better contribute to a more sustainable, equitable and prosperous world.
