Melissa Fuerst Wins Outstanding Oral Presentation Award

New Century College student, Melissa (Mimi) Fuerst, an Integrative Studies major concentrating in Conservation Studies, won the award for Outstanding Oral Presentation at the 2014 College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Mimi's presentation titled, Salamander Migration and Population Monitoring in Warrenton, VA, discussed the research she conducted with the help of a grant from Mason's Office of Student Scholarship, Creative Activities, & Research (OSCAR).  New Century College professor, Dr. Thomas Wood served as Mimi's faculty sponsor and mentor on the project.
